It focused on fast-growing businesses which boosted the economic dynamics of the region between 2004 and 2008 and positively influenced the investment climate. In order to compile the list, Trends looked at the growth in turnover, staff and cash flow.

Xplanation was founded in 2001, has since experienced steady growth and has now been included in the Trends Gazellen list in the category of medium-sized businesses in the Flemish-Brabant region.
